Interactive Robotics

Interactive robotics is focused on the development of effective human-robot collaboration by taking into account the strengths and limitations of both types of team members.

Example

In the project i-Botics, we focus on remotely controlled robotic systems based on telepresence. Telepresence systems are able to transport our senses, actions, and presence to a remote location in real time. Such telepresence systems fully exploit the combination of the cognitive- and motor intelligence of humans with the power, speed and accuracy of robotic systems. We believe that the telepresence approach is especially beneficial for operations in ever changing situations with unpredictable task constraints and task demands that require a high degree of cognitive, perceptual, and motor intelligence and flexibility.
